Moedhart Gallery in 's-Hertogenbosch connects the North West-coast art through Brabant with Europe. A Unique inititiative helping the Coast 'indians' artists to sustain their arts!

In our little Burgundic old town ' s-Hertogenbosch,  Bois le Duc or Silva Ducis we have a unique gallery with Art of the Amerindian, notably The West Coast!

Mr (Moedhart) Edward Tchai, connects the art from traditional to modern, with the world trough his Gallery in the Verwerstraat 73 in this town! He and his family and all the connected artists deserve our gratitude for this stamina and courage!

Moedhart North Westcoast art Gallery  the artist speak

Last year I had the privilege to meet the owner and to stroll along, after a cup of coffee I got consent to take some pictures of this beautiful art. My hobby is collecting tribal arts music and illustrative books on the subject!

Moedhart Gallery is trying to offer a platform for the North West Coast artists, he puts all his life's savings and effort into it together with these artists and his wife and family.

Steve Smith has the courage to go on a road-trip after he got a new chance in life.

A road trip which we find with the Aboriginal arts of Australia too. Incorporating the new with passion for the old and still important traditions. The colours are dared but unique and splendid, one grabs tradition and the modern, a spiritual journey for Steve!

Roy Henry Vickers not the least in the names of renowned artist of the world!

His graphical works are breathtaking transmitting the traditions and casting it into the world through his arts.

What we see, is a new generation leaning on the old ones with their passion for their past but a hunger for the future too! They, the original inhabitants of Canada and America don' t take no for an answer any more, they want to partake in a world in transmission. Environment and healthier life are issues, with which they can help and even learn us, to chose a better decent way of life! And what better than to present this all through their arts, not fitting in the old fashioned jacket alone any-more. There is need and urge to grow and show the world of their journey, through initiatives as this one undertaken by Mr Moedhart and family and his North Amerindian friends! Thanks for the Hospitality and keep up your good works all together!

PS: Edward posed the question if Indians wouldn' t be stigmatising or offending?

I responded;

Indigenous people deserve all the rights and respect from us as former colonisers!
